New Features
Publish Directly to PDF and/or Word
If you don't want to use a complicated page layout program such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress to publish your documents, choose the PDF Publishing Destination, and your publication will be saved in any or all of these formats:

A PDF document
-
A Microsoft Word document
-
A CatBase word processing document (saved in the database)
(We will refer to this format as PDF for simplicity).
A PDF document can be a complete publication with:

A cover page
-
Introductory pages: as many as you like, where you can place text and pictures - for example, an "About our Company" section, or introductions to your staff or products.

One or more dynamic data sections: these are your data, formatted in the way you choose.

End Matter: Like Introductory Pages - any text and images you specify, such as Terms & Conditions

An Index: You choose what to index, for example Product names, Part names, SKUs, Company names, etc.

See a Preview of your Publication
Quickly see a preview of your publication when setting up a Publishing Stylesheet or viewing the list of Publishing Stylesheets.
To edit the Publishing Stylesheet and update the preview, either click the Edit button or right-click on the Stylesheets name in the lefthand menu and choose Edit. Make whatever changes you need to make, then click the Preview button.
