"We've been using the program for a few years now and have been delighted with the results. Our department produces up to a dozen catalogues a week, which have to be back with our customers very quickly due to the nature of our industry. The program allows us to save a great deal of valuable time by automatically importing images, style sheets and formatting. This allows us to be more competitive in the marketplace and therefore more successful in our business."

Publishing a Catalog with InDesign and CatBase using XML

This movie shows a quick overview of how simple it is to publish a catalogue using InDesign with CatBase.

This movie shows just one example of how data can be published with CatBase, using XML. You can also publish to many other publishing destinations, such as QuarkXPress, FrameMaker, delimited text files, and so on.

If you want more control over the formatting of the data and pictures than you get with an XML import, this can be accomplished using tagged text files and the Xtags plugin for InDesign or Quark. Click here to see an example.
