- On Mac: The CatBase licence file is now stored in the same folder as the CatBase program. This file is called CBPrefs6_7.txt. If you lose or delete this file you'll have to re-enter your licence detais.

- Automatically create hyperlinks for InDesign and HTML documents.
- When importing data from a MySql database you can now write your own query.
- Now you can specify a default value for any field.
- Now you can write your own Help Tip for each field.
- Added an option to specify the maximum length of a paragraph; if a paragraph is split, you can choose to use a soft return or to format the subsequent lines in a different style.

- The layout of the Formula window has been improved.
- When updating data via an import, now the Modify Date and ModifyBy fields will only be set if any data was actually changed in the record.
- Now you can import a category by name or number into the MainCategoryName or MainCategoryNumber field in a table rather than having to set up a separate import file.

- Creating a new data file: New database was created with wrong name and in the wrong location if the selected pathname contained more than one dot.
- Sending emails: If you created a new record and tried to send an email without first closing the record, an error was generated and the email could not be sent.
- Publishing Style Sheets: when exporting/ importing to another database, it did not transfer Sorts.
- All known bugs fixed.

- Automated Backup and Restore is now included with all versions (previously it was only included with the multi-user version)
- Set Manager: Create Sets of data according to criteria that you define.
- Publishing Projects: Create Projects that define which data to publish (i.e., what set of data), which Publishing Style Sheet to use, and where to save the files. Run the project with one click of a button.
- Event Scheduler: Set up Events to run at specified intervals or on a certain day of the week or month.
- Round-Tripping: Bi-directional updating between CatBase and QuarkXPress or InDesign documents
- New interface: A new button interface on the main window simplifies access to the database.
- Email Receiving: now emails can be received and stored in the database.
- Records can be sorted in the list view by dragging up and down. The sort order is stored in a new SortOrder field, which can be used for sorting the data when it is published.
- You can choose which fields will appear in the Search on and Sort on popups in the Search Dialogue.

- Formulas: We've added two new options: First record in the Selection and Last Record in the Selection. These options enable you to do something special at the beginning or end of a selection of records as they are being published.

- Now you can receive as well as send emails
- Automatically create a Memo when each email is sent

- Search Dialogue:
- We've improved the Search Dialogue so that it is more logically organised and easier to use.
