1. Importing of pictures would not work under certain conditions on Windows

1. Added option to specify the row height for tables in InDesign.

2. Passwords are now optional. If you don;t have any User accounts set up in the database, you will not see the Passwords login dialog.

1. Creating a new data file: New database was created with wrong name and in the wrong location if the selected pathname contained more than one dot.
2. Sending emails: If you created a new record and tried to send an email without first closing the record, an error was generated and the email could not be sent.
3. Publishing Style Sheets: when exporting/ importing to another database, it  did not transfer Sorts.

1. Automated Backup and Restore is now included with all versions (previously it was only included with the multi-user version)
2. Set Manager: Create Sets of data according to criteria that you define.
3. Publishing Projects: Create Projects that define which data to publish (i.e., what set of data), which Publishing Style Sheet to use, and where to save the files. Run the project with one click of a button.
4. Event Scheduler: Set up Events to run at specified intervals or on a certain day of the week or month.
5. Round-Tripping: Bi-directional updating between CatBase and QuarkXPress or InDesign documents
6. New interface: A new button interface on the main window simplifies access to the database.
7. Email Receiving: now emails can be received and stored in the database.
8. Records can be sorted in the list view by dragging up and down. The sort order is stored in a new SortOrder field, which can be used for sorting the data when it is published.
9. You can choose which fields will appear in the Search on and Sort on popups in the Search Dialogue.

1. Formulas: We've added two new options: First record in the Selection and Last Record in the Selection. These options enable you to do sometign special at the beginning or end of a seleciton of records as they are being published.

   2. Automatically create a Memo when each email is sent

3. Search Dialogue:
   1. We've improved the Search Dialogue so that it is more logically organised and easier to use.
   2. We've added a Sets option so that you can easily find a set of records.

2. Layout Manager gives you much better control over page layout (works with QuarkXPress and InDesign; requires the Xtags plug-in)
3. Create a new data file at any time (no need to use a default project) (Enterprise Edition)
4. Switch from one data file to another without quitting the program (single-user versions only)
5. Automatically convert text tags (or delete them) when mporting data. For example, convert HTML tags to Quark tags.

7. Picture Pathname conversion: If you're running the database on one platform but publishing on another. now you can tell CatBase to convert the format of the picture pathnames when data is published (otherwise it may not be able to locate the pictures).

• Help texts had gone missing: these have been replaced.
• Problems exporting tables to InDesign - all fixed
• Style Sheets had become disassociated, making some text and data appear incorrectly on-screen. Fixed.
