An example of a "White Pages" Directory that was made with CatBase and Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress:

Feature Description First Letter: The entries are sorted alphabetically by last name, and they are broken down into sections by letter. Each section has a heading, which is that section's letter. This is picked up from the First Letter field in the database which, in turn, is created automatically by a script whenever the Last Name is changed. Long lines split: An option in CatBase allows you to specify the maximum length of a line. If a line needs to be broken, you can choose whether to insert a soft return or to choose a different paragraph style for the second line.

	First Letter:In order to publish each letter as a heading, we selected the Unique Group Entry option for that Element. Elements are the building blocks of Paragraphs.
