"Catbase has enabled us to complete projects at a fraction of both the cost and the time of doing so without the Catbase software. In addition the support that the Catbase team have given us has been superb"

Entering New Data into CatBase

You can either import data into your CatBase database or you can enter it manually. In this Tutorial we will look at entering data manually.

See some more CatBase demonstration movies here.

Table and Field Setup

You can set up your tables and fields to suit your project: name the tables and create and name fields of various types. To do this, click on the Setup button on the main CatBase window and choose Table and Field Setup.

Field Properties

In this example we showed you an example of a Choice List field. There are many properties that you can designate for your fields – for example, you can force all text to uppercase or lowercase; make a field mandatory; index it; and so on. See our Field Properties tutorial for more details.

Data Entry Form Design

You can design your data entry forms: create new tabbed "pages", add fields and other objects to them, and resize/move these things around. To set yours up, click on the Setup button on the main CatBase window and choose Form Design Wizard.
